VI.17.42
This was decorated on all three walls with the famous
garden fresco scenes.
Jashemski refers to it as a garden diaeta or garden room.
Aoyagi and Pappalardo refer to it as an oecus, and this is
the description we use.
See Aoyagi M. and Pappalardo U., 2006. Pompei (Regiones VI-VII) Insula Occidentalis.

VI.17.42

VI.17.42 Pompeii. 1974, cast of a mother and child, part
of a family group of four who died under the staircase.
The group consisted of a man and a woman, who was holding
a child, and a few metres away was an older child.
A golden bracelet of exceptional weight and unusual design
was found on the arm of the woman.
This gave the name to the house.

VI.17.42 Pompeii. 1974, cast of child found in a corridor
a few metres from the three other bodies.
