However, Gell described this room as a cubiculum, “the white boudoir.”

The middle zone of this wall would have been white, with alternating panels and architectural painting.
Above this was a frieze of red stucco with patterns painted over it. The upper area was white finished with a cornice.

The middle zone of the north wall would have been white divided by a narrow central compartment with candelabra; the side panels also were white and delimited by garlands. Above was a frieze of red stucco with decorations painted in white, and the upper area was also white. IV Style.

Recognisable in part of the upper zone was a garland near to a painted aedicula with an oscillum hung near its ceiling with festoons.
