V.1.15 Pompeii. April 2009. Entrance, looking east along fauces to atrium.  Originally found on the walls at the entrance were the following graffiti containing the names of two women, and their prices -

Felicla  virna  a(ssibus)  II      [CIL IV 4023] 

Successa  vern(a)  a(ssibus)  V
bellis  moribus                          [CIL IV 4025]

This area was badly hit by the bombing of the night of 16th September 1943.
The north-east part was badly hit, destroying four rooms and a good part of the northern perimeter wall.
Another bomb partly destroyed the road near the entrance doorway.
