In August 1830, a small seal was found in the interior courtyard. It read –
Phoebus
L(uci) C() Primog() [CIL X 8058, 66]

identify the wall painting as Demeter and Hermes.
Winsor Leach stated
“Mercury looks complicitously at the viewer as he drops a fat purse into the
outstretched hand of Ceres, seated with her torch by her side”.
