“Of the other dwelling, where the mosaic of the hunt with the boar was found at the entrance, we have uncovered a good part of the atrium and in the middle of this there was its impluvium which was paved with marble squares, the size of regular bricks: of these the imprint had been found in the mass of cement which bound them, but which had been removed by the ancients.”

This served as a garden with flowers and herbs, and having water flowing in little masonry channels to water it. A door led from this house to VI.5.19, at the rear.
