VIII.7.28 Pompeii. Found 19 July 1766. Cubiculum 7. Round painted medallion with head of satyr drinking from a silver kantharos. The presence of a rudder on the left shoulder identifies him with a river god possibly the Nile or Sarno. This may be a reference to Fortuna who was associated with Isis.
